About the Team & Business Line:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high calibre AML professional to join Citco’s AML/CDD Team in Malta.
The AML/KYC Manager is responsible for providing direction to the existing AML team responsible for the AML operations in Malta. This role requires good regulatory knowledge and an appreciation of operational best practice.
They are responsible for the daily operations ensuring that the team operates effectively and efficiently and that team members are properly guided and motivated.
They take care of meeting the team objectives, while ensuring that the policies and guidelines laid down by the company are fully understood and are properly and effectively implemented.
Your Role:
- Involved in the management and oversight of the AML team including the prioritization and monitoring of work tasks.
- Point of escalation for the team for AML queries and escalations.
- Managing the design, implementation and oversight of AML KPIs.
- Develop strong working relationships with Citco AML teams, Relationship Managers, Compliance and other internal and external parties as required.
- Continuous monitoring and enhancement of the AML operational environment and adherence with the local and group policies as applicable.
- Assist the SVP in coordinating and implementing AML regulatory changes to the AML Framework.
- Assist the SVP in the preparation of AML operations report for management and board/committee meetings.
- Interact with management on AML related topics in a decision-making capacity.
- Involved in the motivation, performance management and development of staff (including training) to provide the highest level of service to all clients.
- Become involved in other projects/ initiatives as required.
About You:
- 6 – 8 years AML related work experience in a financial services institution, preferably funds industry.
- Experience of oversight and people management.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of AML regulations in Malta.
- Demonstrated leadership experience coupled with superior communication skills.
- Pro-active and result driven, and can develop good working relationships with others.
